LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The man who fired shots inside Mall St. Matthews last summer was released on probation.
Treshawn Fowler-Milan, 22, pleaded guilty to firing three shots in the mall from inside the Lids store on May 31, 2023.
One person was shot in the arm and had to undergo surgery at UofL Hospital. Fowler-Milan's charges included assault and wanton endangerment.
Judge Jennifer Bryant Wilcox granted his probation on Wednesday. He will be supervised by a parole officer for five years. According to court documents, additional terms of Fowler-Milan's probation include: not possessing or having access to any weapons, random drug testing, no drugs or alcohol, substance abuse treatment, maintaining a full- or part-time job or attending school full-time and no contact with the victim.
Fowler-Milan was arrested in early June for the shooting. At the time of his arrest, police said he was "totally cooperative" with them, and admitted to firing three rounds from a handgun while inside the Lids store.
Police said the shooting happened during an "altercation" between two groups. According to an arrest citation at the time of Fowler-Milan's arrest, one of the rounds he fired hit the floor of the Lids store, and the third was fired at a subject who was running toward the Dillard's. That round hit the marble wall of the store, where two people were sitting.
