Louisville Metro Police respond to crime scene. (WDRB file)

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A man who was hospitalized critical condition after a shooting Thursday morning in the Portland neighborhood died Friday.

Louisville Metro Police said the shooting happened around 2 a.m. at the corner of North 28th and St. Xavier streets. Officers found a man laying in the street with multiple gunshot wounds.

The man was taken to UofL Hospital in critical condition. On Friday, a police spokesperson said he died Friday.
