Man dies after overnight shooting in West Louisville on Friday morning

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A man is dead after being shot in West Louisville early Friday morning.

John Bradley, a spokesperson from LMPD, said officers were called to the corner of 28th and West Market Street around 2:30 a.m. for reports of a person down.

When they arrived, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.

EMS transported the victim to UofL Hospital where he was pronounced dead, according to Bradley.

LMPD's Homicide Unit is handling the investigation.

There are no known suspects yet.
