LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A man is dead after a shooting in Louisville's Russell neighborhood.
Louisville Metro Police responded to a shooting a little after 5 p.m. Wednesday at 28th and W. Chestnut streets, department spokesperson Dwight Mitchell said.Â
When they arrived, officers found a man who had been shot and started "life-saving measures," Mitchell said. The man was transported to UofL Hospital where he later died.Â
LMPD's Homicide Unit is investigating.
