LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police are investigating after a man was shot in the city's Park Hill neighborhood Tuesday night.
Sgt. Matt Sanders, a spokesperson for LMPD, said officers were called to the 1700 block of Bolling Avenue just after 10 p.m. on a report that someone had been shot. That's off West Hill Street and Dixie Highway
Once on scene, officers found a man who had been shot in the abdomen. Sanders said he was taken to UofL Hospital. While his injury is "serious in nature," Sanders said, it is not believed to be life-threatening.
LMPD's Non-Fatal Shooting Squad is investigating. Sanders said officers with the squad were investigating witnesses who were nearby when the shooting happened.
