LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Louisville Metro Police are investigating after a man was shot Thursday evening. 

Officers responded to a reported shooting at West Broadway and Cecil Avenue around 7:30 p.m., LMPD spokesperson Aaron Ellis said. That's near the Shawnee and Chickasaw neighborhoods.

Once on scene, Ellis said officers found a man who had been shot in the arm. Officers rendered aid until EMS arrived and took the victim to UofL Hospital. His injuries do not appear to be life-threatening, Ellis said.

LMPD's Non-Fatal Shooting Unit is leading the investigation and think the man was shot at a different location. Police have no suspects and have made no arrests.
