LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A man is in critical condition after a shooting in the Russell neighborhood Wednesday morning, according to Louisville Metro Police.

LMPD spokesman Aaron Ellis said officers responded on a reported shooting in the area of 26th and W. Chestnut Streets around 10:45 a.m.

Officers found a man with multiple gunshot wounds. The man was taken to UofL Hospital with life-threatening injuries. 

LMPD's Homicide Unit is investigating but there are no known suspects and have been no arrests.
