LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A man was hospitalized after a shooting near the Dairy Kastle on Eastern Parkway Saturday evening, according to Louisville Metro Police.
Matthew Sanders, a spokesman for LMPD, said officers responded on a reported shooting in the corner of Eastern Parkway and Bradley Avenue just before 5:30 p.m.
Police found a man who had been shot in the abdomen and he was taken to UofL Hospital. According to police, the man who's believed to be in his late 20s, is in "critical condition."
Sanders said police believe a suspect fled westbound on foot and passed the White Castle in the area.
LMPD's Non-Fatal Shooting Squad is investigating.
"People just (need to) pause a second, think before they act," Denorver Garrett, who lives in Louisville, said.
Hours prior to this shooting, police responded to a deadly shooting in the Park Hill neighborhood.
