LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Indiana State Police said a New Albany woman was arrested earlier this month on child sex trafficking charges.

ISP's Indiana Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce began investigating Kristina McAdams, 37, after it received a cyber tip in February of possible child sexual abuse. The tip said an adult was "possibly exploiting a child for sex via an online dating app," ISP said.

Indiana Department of Child Services investigators and two ISP troopers then obtained a search warrant and spoke with McAdams. Through the investigation, ISP collected a cellphone and forwarded evidence from it to the Floyd County Prosecutor's Office.

McAdams was then arrested April 17 on the following charges:

  • Child sexual trafficking
  • Promotion of sexual trafficking of a younger child
  • Promoting prostitution

McAdams is being held at the Floyd County Jail.
