LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- An old interview is throwing a new twist into the case of a Letcher County, Kentucky, judge allegedly murdered by the sheriff.
Audio from a 2022 investigation interview has surfaced from a woman who said she saw a video of Judge Kevin Mullins having sex with a woman in his chambers, LEX18 News reported Wednesday.
She said Mullins would have sex with women in exchange for legal favors. He was never accused of any crime.
In the audio, the woman is being interviewed by an investigator from the attorney general's office.
"Do you know for sure that was the judge," the investigator asked.
"Yes," the woman replied.
"And how do you know that's the judge," the investigator asked.
"I've been in front of him, his face is pretty clear on there," she responded.
A Kentucky State Police detective said the phone number of former Sheriff Shawn “Mickey” Stines' daughter was in Mullins' phone, and that the sheriff called her before shooting the judge.
