LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Four more people were arrested in connection to the fatal shooting at this year's Harvest Homecoming festival in downtown New Albany, though police aren't releasing any details on the arrests until Tuesday.

New Albany Mayor Jeff Gahan said the New Albany Police Department and Floyd County Prosecutor Chris Lane will hold a joint news conference at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday with more details.

Bryce Gerlach, 18, was shot and killed. The other two victims wounded in the shooting, a 22-year-old man and a 42-year-old woman, were hospitalized and expected to survive.

Police believe all three victims were innocent bystanders who were not related to the dispute that led to the shooting.

"Multiple gunshots" were reported at 9:53 p.m. Saturday in the area of State and Black, as well as the carnival/ride area of Harvest, Bailey said during a news conference the next morning. Police learned through witnesses that there were likely multiple shooters firing from different locations, Bailey said. While he couldn't confirm an exact number of shooters, he said there were "at least two."

One person has already been arrested in connection to the case. According to court documents, Joshua Smith was interviewed by New Albany Police on Oct. 27 and confessed to shooting a gun into the air while at the ride area of the festival. There were two bullet strikes found at the YMCA building in New Albany.

Smith told police during the interview that he sold the gun for drugs after the shooting but wouldn't say who that person was. He added that that person sold the gun to someone else.

Police then told Smith he was arrested and going to jail. Smith told police he was "scared sh**less" and had to use the restroom. He fled down the hallway before hitting a dead end. Smith fought with officers and caused damage to the drywall.

Smith is facing multiple charges including criminal recklessness, obstruction of justice, resisting law enforcement and criminal mischief.
