LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A southern Indiana man was arrested on drug charges after crashing his car in Henryville.
The single-vehicle rollover crash happened Wednesday on U.S. 31 near Brownstown Road.
Indiana State Police believe 35-year-old Nathan Baldwin, of Scottsburg, Indiana, lost control of his Camaro after trying to avoid deer on the wet roadway. The car left the roadway and was overturned in a ditch.
Officers were told the driver was taking items from the car and throwing them in the woods. Officers found a backpack with suspected cocaine, meth and other drug paraphernalia in the woods.
Baldwin was cleared by medical personnel on the scene, arrested and taken to the Clark County Jail. He is charged with felony unlawful possession of a handgun and felony drug-related charges.
