LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A southern Indiana man was arrested Thursday on child sex abuse and child exploitation charges following more than a year-long investigation.

According to the Clark County Sheriff's Office, 49-year-old Jorge David Rodriguez was arrested as part of an Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) investigation.

Police said the ICAC unit began investigating in February 2025 after multiple tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children indicated a Verizon subscriber account in Charlestown, Indiana, was accessing child sex abuse images and videos.

Detectives obtained search warrants and arrested Rodriguez shortly after at his home, police said. Officers also seized digital devices allegedly used in the crimes.

Officers with Indiana State Police, the Jeffersonville Police Department and the Scott County Sheriff's Office assisted with the arrest.

Rodriguez was charged with one count of child exploitation and nine counts of possession of child sex abuse material, which are level five felonies. He is being held at Clark County Jail.
