LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A Salem, Indiana, man has been arrested on felony rape and child molestation charges.
Darrin Mitchell, 19, was arrested Tuesday by the Salem Police Department and is being held in the Washington County Jail.
An investigation was started by Indiana State Police in December 2023 after a Washington County, Indiana, school resource officer contacted them about a possible child molestation case involving a student.
ISP, working alongside caseworkers with the Indiana Department of Child Services, conducted interviews with the child and others related to the case.Â
Washington County Circuit Court issued the warrant for Mitchell.Â
