LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — The Clark County, Indiana, sheriff's department is investigating after an apparent shooting at a bar in New Washington.

According to Assistant Chief Mark Grube, a spokesperson for the department, officers were called to Sweathogs Bar and Grill around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday on a reported shooting incident.

In a written statement, Grube said a suspect is in custody, and there is no threat to the public. 

Police did not release any other information, so it's unclear whether anyone was shot and if so, what their condition is.

A WDRB photojournalist at the scene reported seeing a person deceased on the ground outside the bar. 

Indiana State Police investigators are assisting in the investigation.
