LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A teen was injured in a shooting early Monday morning in the Wyandotte neighborhood.

According to LMPD spokesman Aaron Ellis, officers responded to the 900 block of Beecher Street around 2:30 a.m. on a reported shooting. That's where they found a juvenile male, believed to be 14 years old, with a gunshot wound.

Officers rendered first aid to the victim until EMS arrived. The juvenile was then taken to University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Ellis said detectives are working to learn what led up to the shooting. He also said all parties are accounted for.

LMPD's Non-Fatal Shooting Unit is investigating.
