LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A teenage boy was shot in the hand Friday afternoon during a carjacking near Shelby Park.
Louisville Metro Police spokesperson John Bradley said officers were called around 12:20 p.m. to South Clay Street and East Ormbsy Avenue on a report of a carjacking. They arrived on scene to find a teenage boy suffering from a gunshot wound to the hand.
Bradley said the stolen car was located later Friday afternoon near Lee Street and McCloskey Avenue in the Algonquin neighborhood.Â
The boy was taken to UofL Hospital downtown and is expected to survive.
LMPD's Robbery Unit investigating.
