LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The man charged with murdering a Louisville Metro Corrections officer pleaded not guilty in court Friday.
Police arrested 36-year-old Anthony Trabue on March 28 after a brief standoff with LMPD SWAT officers.
During his arraignment from Bullitt County jail on Friday, a judge set a $500,000 full cash bond.
Trabue's arrest came after a co-defendant, 35-year-old Kristy Brumley, was arrested last week.
According to court documents Brumley admitted bringing 44-year-old Michael Wehdah to the murder scene in the 2700 block of Cedar Street on Feb. 16, and said she was present when "someone she knew" killed Wehdah.
Wehdah, who lived with his wife and teenage son, was enrolled in the Louisville Metro Corrections Academy last August and became an officer in November.
Trabue assaulted Wehdah before shooting him several times, according to court documents.
Investigators have not released a possible motive for Wehdah's murder, but have said it was not related to his job at the jail.
