LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- You can get rid of some of your junk for free today at the Outer Loop Recycling & Disposal Facility.
Jefferson County residents can drop off bulky items not accepted during regular garbage collection, like appliances, furniture and mattresses.
People are asked to separate metal items from other things so they can be recycled.
Items including yard waste, hazardous materials, paint and tires will not be allowed.
The free drop-off event lasts until 3 p.m. today.
