LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A man was shot and killed early Wednesday morning in Pleasure Ridge Park, according to Louisville Metro Police Department.
Officers were called around 6:18 a.m. to the 2600 block of Franklin Avenue on a report of a shooting. When they arrived, police found a man, believed to be between 25 and 35 years old, lying next to a vehicle in the roadway with a gunshot wound.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
LMPD's Homicide Unit is investigating, but they notified the department later Wednesday morning the case will be handled as a death investigation, not a homicide.
