LEBANON, Ind. (WDRB) -- David Camm gave a brief glance to WDRB's Lawrence Smith on Wednesday morning when asked how he thought the trial was going, but made no comment as he entered the courthouse.
In the courtroom, the prosecution began presenting very technical DNA evidence. A former state police DNA analyst who examined the clothing at the crime scene said she performed more than 300 tests on the various items. Among the results, on Charles Boney's sweatshirt, she said, there was DNA from both Kim Camm, David Camm's wife, and Brad Camm, his son, as well as from Boney's girlfriend.
Kim Camm's blood and DNA were also found on David Camm's shoes, according to testimony.
During cross-examination, Camm's defense team continued its effort to paint a picture of a rush to judgement and a shoddy early investigation, pointing out that Charles Boney's DNA was not tested and identified until after Camm's first trial
Boney has already been convicted in the Camm murders. As of late morning on Wednesday, no evidence had been presented tying David Camm to the murder scene.
