LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Louisville families got a little help with getting ready to head back to school.
The main Chase Bank branch on Jefferson Street in downtown Louisville gave away backpacks Friday afternoon.
The backpacks were stuffed with notebooks, folders, pens, pencils and other supplies students need.Â
"A lot of kids also go to school sometimes without a backpack on the first day of school. This is just us people feel included and to be like other kids," Jeremy Haydon, Chase Bank Louisville Community Manager, said.
The bank also hosted financial health workshops for families that came in for the giveaway. Parents and students could learn about the importance of budgeting and smart spending when getting ready for the start of the school year.
If you missed Friday's event, you can contact Chase to sign up for a future financial workshop.
