LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Clarksville High School now offers a financial literacy course to help students learn to manage their money.
Some of the topics include budgeting, saving for college, credit scores and planning for retirement. Eleven high school students applied and were selected to take the class.
The program is in partnership with First Savings Bank.
"We are thrilled to collaborate with First Savings Bank to offer this important course," Dr. Adrienne Goldman, Principal of Clarksville High School, said in a news release. "Financial literacy is a crucial life skill, and we believe that equipping our students with this knowledge will give them the tools they need to succeed both personally and professionally in the future."
Students who complete the course will get $2,000 each and will be paired with a mentor from the bank.
