LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Preschoolers are invited to swap their daytime clothes for pajamas and head to the library for a morning of stories and play.
The South Central Regional Library will host a “Llama Llama” themed Preschool Pajama Party on Saturday, Feb. 21, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The free event is geared toward young children and their families.
Throughout the library, kids can explore interactive activity stations. Organizers said families can step into a themed slumber party room, visit a play kitchen to “build” their own breakfast creations and stop by a stuffed animal adoption center. There will also be a bubble house inflatable, a scavenger hunt and several opportunities for children to meet Llama Llama, who will be dressed in his well-known red pajamas.
Each child who attends will receive a free book to take home, thanks to the Jefferson County Early Childhood Collaborative.
Community organizations focused on early childhood development will also be on hand with information tables, including representatives from HANDS, the YMCA and Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.
The South Central Regional Library is located at 7300 Jefferson Blvd. Overflow parking will be available in the Target parking lot nearby.
For additional details, families can visit their website or call the library at (502) 964-3515.
