LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Students, staff and parents got their first look at a brand-new school building in southern Indiana on Tuesday.
A large crowd gathered to celebrate the grand opening of Pike Elementary, located on Charlestown Pike in Jeffersonville. The state-of-the-art facility merges students from Wilson and Thomas Jefferson elementary schools into one modern campus.
The new building features updated amenities, including a slide inside the school—which has many students eager to start the upcoming school year.
Wednesday, Greater Clark County Schools will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony for another new facility, Charlestown Elementary School.
