LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- High schools throughout Jefferson County Public Schools are receiving new rolling medical carts, each one filled with supplies to treat students during the school day.
There are 28 carts total, each equipped with essential medical supplies like EpiPens, medications, Stop the Bleed Kits and more. The carts also come with iPads to help with translation for non-English-speaking students and families at vaccine clinics.
JCPS is also providing each school nurse with Albuterol and Narcan.

"We should be prepared," said Dr. Inder Singal, interim medical director at the Louisville Metro Department of Public Health and Wellness. "We should have the tools and training in place in case we need to respond quickly. ... These kits will help prepare the nursing staff to better serve such a large and diverse population of student body here at JCPS."
The carts were provided courtesy of the Louisville health department.
