Generic Classroom

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Oldham County School Board is holding a meeting to discuss religious instruction during school hours.

Right now, school districts have the option to not allow students to be released from school for programs, like LifeWise, which focuses on Bible-based character education.

The program would pull students from special area classes, like art, music, or physical education.

Board members intend to vote at the end of the meeting, which is scheduled to start at 4:45 p.m. Wednesday evening at the Arvin Education Center.

The Attorney General said the board must submit evidence for its decision.
