LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A student was hit by a car near Southern High School on Thursday morning.
Louisville Metro Police confirmed that officers were called to the scene where a pedestrian was hit on Preston Highway, near the school.
The student was taken to Norton Children's Hospital.
Jefferson County Public Schools spokesperson Carolyn Callahan said she was told the student's injuries are not considered life-threatening.
