LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Music was in the air in Louisville Sunday.

More than 800 children and their families attended an orKidStra Dance Party at Old Forester's Paristown Hall. The Louisville Orchestra hosted the family-friendly event with children in mind.

The orchestra played songs from Frozen, Taylor Swift and Cinderella.

The Louisville Dance Alliance also kept things moving and shaking for the crowd. Preparations for the event started a year ago and shared the importance of music in a child's life.

"These family experiences provide core memories for these kids that help foster a love for all kinds of music and it is so important that every kid in Louisville gets access to these service," said Sara Lempke O'Hare with Louisville Orchestra.

Before the concert, children could participate in arts and crafts.
