LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Churchill Downs invited families out to enjoy a Family Adventure Day under the Twin Spires on Sunday.

The sun shined bright at the horse racing track in Louisville as families had a variety of things to do. Children 12 years and younger could have their faces painted, play on inflatables, use a bubble station, along with creating arts and crafts.

While children played, parents could enjoy drinks and listen to live music.

"Turnout has been great," said Kevin Kerstein, Churchill Downs Communications Director. "The kids are enjoying live racing, I see them going back out to the track watching races, coming over here to the grove to enjoy some music and some family activities. It has just been a great turnout and able to bring the kids out to the track of the day."

Family Adventure Day happens once a meet in the spring and fall. Trick or Treat at the Track will take place on Oct. 29.
