LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- The FBI is investigating a cryptic threat on the website of and Indiana school.

More than 500 Brownsburg Community School students stayed home Thursday, after hackers made a threat on the school website.

The message was taken down, and officials believe it may have been in response to the anti-Islamic video that sparked violent protests overseas.

School authorities don't believe the threat is credible.

They believe the website was chosen at random because it was easy to hack.

Students returned to school Friday.
