LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Firefighters rescued two kayakers from the Salt River over the weekend.
The two were downstream from the Taylorsville Lake dam when it happened Sunday afternoon, according to a post on the Taylorsville-Spencer County fire protection district's Facebook page.
Firefighters and a sheriff's deputy used ropes to reach both victims from the shore, and pulled them to safety.
No one was injured.
Rescuers also recovered both kayaks, which had the victims' car keys in them.
