LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - A woman escaped from a fire early Monday morning after a smoke detector woke her up.

Firefighters were called to a home on Harrison Avenue about 2:30 a.m.

A woman was inside at the time of the fire, but firefighters were able to get her out of the house.

The back of the home was engulfed in flames. Firefighters had trouble fighting the fire because of overhanging electrical wires.

It took 30 firefighters about 30 minutes to contain the fire.

The house was severely damaged.

No one was hurt.

Arson investigators are looking into the cause of the fire, but don't expect foul play.
