LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A new professional wrestling promotion will make its Louisville debut this weekend, and a familiar face will headline the event.
Ethan Carter III, better known to wrestling fans as EC3, will be the featured performer at PowerBomb Pro Wrestling's inaugural event, "Let's Fight on Logan Street," on Saturday at Logan Street Market.
The appearance marks a homecoming of sorts for the former three-time world champion, who spent time living and training in Louisville during the early stages of his wrestling career in the early 2000s before finding success on the national stage with WWE and TNA Wrestling.
"It's always great to go back to Louisville, Kentucky because the eight months I lived there were pretty wild times," EC3 said. "When I wasn't beating people up and getting beaten up at shows, I was a server at The Cheesecake Factory."
PowerBomb Pro Wrestling's first Louisville event is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. Saturday at Logan Street Market.
Organizers hope the event will introduce local fans to the new wrestling promotion while bringing nationally known talent to the city.
