LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- An expungement clinic will be held at Goodwill West Louisville Opportunity Center next week.
Cornbread Hemp is sponsoring the clinic May 13 in partnership with Goodwill Kentucky at the opportunity center at 2820 West Broadway in the Parkland neighborhood. It will go from 10 a.m. to noon.
According to a news release Monday, the event will clear the criminal records of at least 50 people so they have a second chance at employment, housing and dignity.
"Cornbread Hemp believes that no one should be defined by their worst mistake for the rest of their life," Eric Zipperle, co-founder and CEO of Cornbread Hemp, said in a news release. "We're honored to stand alongside Goodwill Kentucky to help remove the barriers that keep people from being productive members of society."
Goodwill Kentucky will have legal partners and staff to provide on-site support to guide participants through the process of clearing eligible charges from their records. It comes at no cost to attendees.
People are encouraged to register for the upcoming event by clicking here or calling 270-706-3168.
