LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A New Albany counseling center that provides free mental health services to teens has doubled its capacity for the second time in two years.
Brandon's House Counseling Center celebrated the latest expansion of its New Albany headquarters Friday.
The center moved to a new location in 2024, doubling its footprint. Now, Brandon's House has expanded again, this time into the lower level of the building.
Wade Thaxton, CEO of the counseling center, said the added space will allow Brandon's House to reach more teens.
"There's a waitlist," Thaxton said. "There continues to be a waitlist and that's what we're just trying to do is just be a safe place for teens to be heard and find hope and to get equipped for today's many challenges."
Earlier this year, Brandon's House also opened a satellite office on the campus of Clarksville Community Schools.
In 2025, the counseling center provided service to clients from 11 different counties across southern Indiana.
