LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A black bear was hit and killed during rush hour Tuesday morning on Interstate 65.
Shepherdsville Police said the crash happened about 7:15 a.m. in the northbound lanes near the 115 mile marker. Police believe a large vehicle like a semi may have hit the bear but didn't stop.

The Kentucky Highway Department removed the bear, but traffic was backed up for miles.
