LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Happy Derby! The 2025 Pegasus PinĀ was released Tuesday as part of the countdown to the 151st Kentucky Derby.
The Kentucky Derby Festival worked with Churchill Downs on this year's design, which features the Festivalās Pegasus symbol and two shades of the official pink color.
The new design also says, "Happy Derby," a popular phrase used among many to celebrate the Derby season.
"The 2025 Pegasus Pin is more than just a symbol of spring, it celebrates the joy, enthusiasm, and optimism that surround the Derby season each year," Kentucky Derby Festival President & CEO Matt Gibson said in a news release. "We hope this Pegasus Pin will be a fun conversation piece and must-have accessory that commemorates our favorite time of year and wishes everyone a 'Happy Derby!'"
The 2025 pin also connects into the Festival's "Happy" message that is part of a new marketing campaign and will be introduced this upcoming season.
2025 marks the 53rd edition of the Pegasus Pin and offers free admission to over 30 Derby Festival events throughout the season.
