LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Home of the Innocents was recognized as a key partner in child abuse prevention.
The Louisville nonprofit was honored by Prevent Child Abuse Kentucky for its role in delivering life-changing parent education programs. Prevent Child Abuse Kentucky provides funding to Home of the Innocents.
Home of the Innocents delivers parent education programs to families in Jefferson, Bullitt, Montgomery, LaRue and Daviess counties.
"Home of the Innocents is grateful for the continued support of Prevent Child Abuse Kentucky," Paul Robinson, president and CEO of Home of the Innocents, said in a news release Wednesday. "More specifically, PCAK is a major funder of our Parent Education Program which allows parents from all walks of life to learn effective ways of managing their relationships with their children."
According to a news release, Prevent Child Abuse Kentucky's Parent Education Providers offer free parenting classes, family support services and educational resources that help caregivers build the knowledge and confidence needed to raise children in safe, nurturing homes.
