ELIZABETH, Ind. (WDRB) -- The Horseshoe Casino in southern Indiana is opening its dealer school to the public.
According to a news release from Horseshoe Southern Indiana, the deadline to apply for the dealer school is October 1.
Applications are available at www.horseshoecareersSI.com.
The dealer school teaches applicants how to become professional dealers in just seven weeks. Once completing the FREE program, graduates could be dealing games like Texas Hold 'Em, Blackjack and 3 Card Poker.
"Dealer positions are very popular and we are excited to open this to the public," says Horseshoe Employment Manager Tandra Miller. "These opportunities do not come along often."
The seven-week program includes four-hour training sessions that will be held Monday through Thursday. Sessions are offered three times per day to accommodate students' busy schedules.
But dealer school isn't for everyone -- although Horseshoe is looking for 300 applicants, only 80 will be accepted into the program. Candidates must pass a math assessment and several rounds of interviews.
Graduates must pass an audition at the end of the school term for consideration of a job.
