LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Jefferson County Coroner has released the name of the man killed Saturday night in a Newburg shooting.
Coroner Jack Arnold says the victim was 36-year-old Troy Garvin. He says Garvin lived in the 4400 block of Norene Lane, where he was shot.
LMPD spokesman Dwight Mitchell says police got a call about a shooting shortly after 8:00 p.m. on Saturday night. When they arrived they found the body of a black male in his 30s in an apartment.
Investigators canvassed the neighborhood Saturday night looking for witnesses. They are also looking into reports that two children may have been inside the apartment at the time of the incident.
