LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The fate of a Jefferson County school will be decided later today at a school board meeting.
JCPS is set to vote on whether or not it will close Myers Middle School for good. The proposal would send students to other schools and use the building for other purposes.
Myers is one of the lowest-performing schools in Kentucky. The state has already removed the principal and ordered a re-staffing of teachers for this fall.
JCPS held meetings back in April to talk with teachers and parents about the school's future.
