LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Election officials are urging voters to double-check their ballots ahead of Kentucky’s May 19 primary after several local candidates dropped out of key races.

The Jefferson County Clerk’s Office said candidates who have withdrawn — including those running for Louisville mayor and Metro Council Districts 5, 15, 19 and 25 — will still appear on the ballot.

Jefferson County Clerk David Yates said in a social media post Thursday voters should avoid selecting those names, since they are no longer in the race.

The reminder comes as early voting and election preparations continue across Jefferson County ahead of the primary election.

The Kentucky primary is set for May 19.
