LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville man has been acquitted of rape, sodomy and murder charges in an eight-year-old case.
A jury on Wednesday cleared Guy Marcus Allen in the 2013 rape and murder of 61-year-old Shelia Devine.
His co-defendant, Eugene Mitchell, was acquitted in the same case two years ago.
The Louisville Metro Department of Corrections confirmed to WDRB News that Allen had been released from jail sometime before 10 p.m. Wednesday.
Allen's attorney Ryan Vantrease called his client's acquittal "a long time coming."
