LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Baptist Health is kicking off National Nurses Week in a special way.

The Big Four Bridge and the Baptist Health Louisville Park Tower will be lit up with Baptist Health colors in honor of National Nurse Week.

Monday at 8:15 p.m., nurses from Baptist Health Floyd will walk the bridge from Indiana while nurses from La Grange, Louisville and Hardin County walk from the Kentucky side to meet in the middle.

The lights on the bridge will be switched on from twilight until 1 a.m. The lights at Park Tower, located at 4002 Kresge Way, off Breckenridge Lane, will remain lit all week.

Landmarks across the country will have special lighting to honor nurses.

This year's theme is "Nurses Make the Difference."
