LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Kentucky Lottery said sales over the past year shattered previous records.
More than $1.5 billion worth of tickets were sold, more than a 31% increase over the previous year.
The state got almost $355 million of that.
Officials said internet sales accounted for the biggest growth, while scratch-off tickets accounted for the most sales overall.
Lottery proceeds fund a variety of college scholarship and grant programs.
