LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — More overnight lane closures are planned this weekend as Louisville prepares for the full Interstate 65 shutdown.

The I-65 Central Corridor Improvement Project will close a five-mile stretch of the interstate between the Watterson Expressway and downtown Louisville to replace aging bridges along the interstate.

Drivers can expect the upcoming closures:

Friday, May 15 through Monday, May 18 | 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. each night

  • Southbound I-65 one lane closed at the I-65/I-264 interchange (milepoint 131.2 to milepoint 130.3)
  • Off-ramp lane closure from eastbound I-264 (milepoint 11.8) to southbound I-65 (milepoint 130.3)
