LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - No injuries were reported after a vacant building in the Park Duvalle neighborhood caught fire overnight.
Fire officials said crews were called at 12:31 a.m. Wednesday to the two-story residence in the 1500 block of Hemlock Street, which is near Wilson Avenue and Annie Street.
When crews arrived, the building was fully engulfed, and crews took up a defensive position to fight the flames. Fire officials said the building was vacant. No injuries were reported.
It took six companies and 25 firefighters 11 minutes to gain control of the fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
