LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) --Back in February the International Convention Center in downtown Louisville was packed.
They were all waiting for a chance to hear four words, "let's play Family Feud."
"We practiced a lot," said Joshua Toomer.
The Toomer family had a good reason to practice because they earned a spot on the show.
"I felt we won because we actually made it," Samuel Toomer said.
They got to rep their city and team.
"It felt good. I got to put up my 'L' you know for Louisville, for the Cards," Samuel added.
They got to chat with host and funny man, Steve Harvey. The Toomer family also showed off some impressive skills.
"We actually thought we were going to do great," Elesha Toomer said with a smile.
They had a strategy.
"You always think of something to say even if you don't have an answer," Valerie Cox explained.
In the end it wasn't quite enough, still a family's dream was realized.
"I'm actually speechless. There aren't really words that describe how we felt being on the show. It was just great. It was beyond great," Megan Toomer said.

You can catch "the Feud" weekdays at 11am and 12:30pm on WDRB-TV.
