LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Sci-fi fans found paradise at Louisville Con 2023 on Saturday.

Hundreds of fans gathered throughout the day at the Triple Crowne Pavilion in Jeffersontown. Vendors sold comic books, anime, toys, cosplay, video games and artwork.

Many of the guests were in their best anime and character costumes. There were also panels where fans could listen to actors and artists.

Event organizers said it was a day to show off your inner geek.

"This is our fourth or fifth year doing a show here," said Carmine Desanto, an event organizer. "I love it. It is a good community. People love getting dressed up, a lot of great cosplayers come out to this show. Main thing is I love seeing the families come out and having a good time and enjoying it."

Tami Erin, who starred in the 1988 move "The New Adventures of Pippi Longstocking" was also in attendance to talk to fans.

The event will return to Louisville on April 8.
